L'Aeroport de Reus es un exemple d'aquesta situació, passant de ser un aeroport utilitzat en la seva majoria per companyies de vols xàrter a ser un lloc d'acollida de companyies de baix cost. En aquest treball, s'analitza la seva situació actual després d'un període d'auge i caiguda i es proposaran solucions per assegurar el seu futur.

The objective of this Bachelor's Degree Final Project is the implementation of new instrument flight procedures at Reus Airport, due to the possible traffic congestion in the area of VLA VOR, when runways 06R/L of the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport are in use together with runway 25 at LERS. Based on the results obtained, a new structure of the LERS CTR will be proposed, in order to satisfy the concerns transmitted by the Barcelona Approach air traffic controllers. Before getting down to work to achieve the objectives, it should be noted that an autonomous study of the operating principle of the instrumental procedures to be established has been carried out, to obtain a clear and concise idea of what is proposed to be done. That said, the methodology used for the design and construction of instrument procedures has been based primarily on the needs of air traffic controllers to improve the efficiency and safety of air operations, and on the steps provided by ICAO Document 8168, which provides international guidelines and standards for the construction of intrument flight operations. The results obtained, without considering signal coverage factors of the systems involved or possible conflicts with other procedures of the different aerodromes close to LERS, are satisfactory. The proposed viability and effectiveness of the new procedures is supported, with very notable implications for the optimization of arrival and approach operations. Ultimately, a proposal will be offered for the remodeling of the LERS CTR, which will contain the trajectory of the new approach corresponding to runway 25, achieving a transfer of responsibility for traffic approaching said runway to the LERS controllers.

Reus Airport belongs to the core of airports corresponding to the region of Catalonia along with El Prat-Barcelona Airport and Girona Airport, and others. Reus is a competitive airport for low-cost companies, which corresponds to most of its operations. The increase in these companies currently foresees a rapid growth in their traffic, implying that the airport must be prepared to support such a volume of traffic, conditioning its facilities and services to be able to offer an adequate level of service and operability. This project aims to make a complete analysis of the Reus airport to forecast its future growth and learn about its position in the market and its influence on low-cost companies. So, this work is divided into five parts, briefly explained below. In the first part, we will try to know about the airport, as well as its traffic and history. Next, its positioning in the market will be analysed, comparing it with its direct rival, Girona Airport. The third part will study the airport's traffic growth, setting as horizon 2035. On the other hand, the terminal will be sized based on the previous study to offer an adequate level of service. Finally, the data obtained in these studies will be analysed to propose improvement in terms of competition and a possible extension of the building to accommodate the expected traffic.

This Bachelor final thesis will focus on the study of the design and implementation of a remote-control tower in Reus Airport, its benefits (and inconvenient) with regard to a convenient control tower -especially economical-operational costs and efficiency-, and the expansion of this technology to the rest of the low/medium-operations airports managed in a centralized control centre, combining operations of different Spanish airports in the same control centre.

This document presents a project for the design of a hangar for aircraft maintenance at Reus Airport. Two main objectives are established: --On the one hand, define the feasibility of the proposal, taking into account a 25-year horizon in which a traffic forecast and a profitability analysis are developed. Finally, the proposal is complemented with the case study of the Ryanair hangar located at Sevilla Airport, which can facilitate decision-making in some further sections of the project. --On the other hand, obtain a structural design proposal that can really adapt to the airport environment, considering all possible factors for the calculus and needs of the infrastructure. To carry out the first point, a brief study of the current situation of the airport was executed. Later on, the airport's available growth capacity was analyzed and the expected annual operations and passenger flow were projected. In addition, in the economic analysis, following the forecasts analyzed above and after obtaining costs, revenues and profits, the aim is to delimit the profitability indicators (NPV, IRR and Payback) in order to be able to conclude the viability of the project. As for the structural design, a solution has been chosen using a metallic structure, porch type with trusses and sandwich panel enclosures. In addition, the foundations of the structure are calculated and a slab is proposed for the paving of the hangar. Prior to the design and calculation of the structure, the needs and design requirements of the hangar are introduced, analyzing factors such as the geotechnics of the terrain, the restrictions marked by aeronautical easements or the type of aircraft maintenance foreseen. Finally, different hangar facilities are designed to make the project more plausible and to limit the values of the final budget presented as much as possible. Finally, two documents associated with this report are presented, Document II. Annexes, in which the characteristics of each section are analyzed and described in greater detail, and Document III. Plans where the entire hangar design is graphically depicted.

L'any 2019 l'Aeroport Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat va estar a 2 milions de passatgers d'arribar al seu límit de capacitat fixat en 55 milions. Amb les previsions d'usuaris realitzades i sense tenir en compte la pandèmia s'observa com en qüestió de poc més d'un any s'hagués arribat en aquest límit. Per evitar el col·lapse de la infraestructura barcelonina, l'estudi en qüestió proposa utilitzar l'Aeroport de Reus per tal de cobrir l'excés de demanda. A més, també proposa 3 models de gestió pels dos aeroports: el model actual en xarxa d'AENA, el model d'Aeroports de Catalunya o bé, un model mixt, on l'Aeroport de Barcelona forma part d'AENA i el de Reus d'Aeroports de Catalunya. Aquests models han estat avaluats a partir d'una anàlisi multicriteri. El model de gestió millor puntuat amb la ponderació aplicada juntament amb el model actual, que ha servit com a base de referència, han estat analitzats econòmicament i mediambientalment. D'aquesta manera s'ha observat que la seva aplicació és viable i que genera un impacte negatiu al medi ambient. Per acabar, s'ha donat èmfasi a la situació actual de pandèmia i s'ha fet una previsió de la demanda dels dos aeroports en tres nivells diferents: any 2021, període 2021-2025 i període 2026-2030. Aquests pronòstics han tingut en compte els estudis més recents, en termes de previsions de tràfic, d'entitats de renom com EUROCONTROL, ACI i IATA.

The present research project aims to study of the current Master Plan of the Reus airport. The first step determines the current situation of the airport and its Master Plan. was to compare the data that were prognosticated in the MP with the real results to test if there are any discrepancies and, if so, to find the reason that led to the error. Next, the prognosis results have been obtained, based on the airport's records. These values have been corrected with aspects such as the tourism and the location, as well as the inclusion of present factors as the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. These values have allowed us to determine the design parameters of the terminal and to dimension it. After that, a series of improvements are proposed. These improvements are based on the passenger management with intent to improve their level of satisfaction and comfort. Finally, a chapter devoted to the conclusions is included, where the most relevant results obtained from the previously mentioned procedures in addition to personal valuations are displayed.

El present projecte contempla la connexió ferroviària de l'Estació del Camp de Tarragona amb l'Aeroport de Reus mitjançant la construcció d'una nova línia de ferrocarril. La nova infraestructura projectada suposa la implementació d'una ràpida connexió entre l'Aeroport de Reus i la ciutat de Barcelona (comptant amb la connexió existent entre el Camp de Tarragona i Barcelona Sants), la qual cosa promou el creixement de l'aeroport, possibilita una major oferta de serveis i n'augmenta el protagonisme. Actualment l'Aeroport de Reus es troba molt proper a la línia general del Corredor del Mediterrani, però les vies passen per l'altre costat de la pista i l'estació central prevista en aquesta zona no garanteix una connexió eficient des del punt de vista dels passatgers, donat que obliga a fer transbord en autobús. Malgrat l'aeroport es trobi envoltat de nombroses infraestructures ferroviàries aquest no disposa de cap via de tren que permeti connectar-lo amb alguna estació propera; menys encara amb l'estació del Camp de Tarragona per on passa la línia d'alta velocitat. La singularitat del present projecte rau en la competència que suposa la connexió plantejada, respecte la connexió existent entre l'Aeroport de Barcelona - El Prat i l'estació de Barcelona Sants. D'acord amb l'alternativa escollida, el present projecte estudia tots els condicionants de la zona, com ara la cartografia i la topografia, la geologia del terreny, l'excavabilitat dels materials o la climatologia i la hidrologia; i dissenya, dimensiona i pressuposta les obres necessàries per tal de dur a terme l'obra completa.
